John Yoo is a professor of law at the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law. He served from 2001 to 2003 as a deputy assistant attorney general in the Office of Legal Counsel at the U.S. Department of Justice, where he worked on issues involving foreign affairs, national security, and the separation of powers.

Robert L. Barr, Jr. is an attorney and a former member of the United States House of Representatives from Georgia. Barr represented the 7th District of Georgia, from 1995 to 2003. Barr is now a Life Member of, and on the National Committee for, the United States Libertarian Party.
